In a few days, we will celebrate Thanksgiving. It can seem incongruous to express gratitude at a time when many people are not feeling particularly happy with the state of the world. But the practice of giving thanks becomes more (not less) essential in challenging times.

We are writing to share significant updates regarding Seattle University Athletics, including the difficult decision to discontinue three sport programs.

Seattle University is commemorating Indigenous Peoples' Day today. Observed on the second Monday of October, Indigenous Peoples' Day can be traced to the 1977 International NGO Conference on Discrimination Against Indigenous Populations in the Americas.
